Top-Notch Equipment
Pagani’s Downtown Car Care in
Newark, OH has been spending a small fortune on our equipment to ensure that we have the latest and greatest and can truly say our shop is “state-of-the-art.” We rise to the challenge of keeping up with all of the new equipment coming out for
auto collision repairs because all of the manufacturers’ changes being made daily make it necessary. Our technicians help notify us of any equipment needs as they come up, and we constantly check those items off of the list. Stop in sometime if you would like to take a brief tour of the shop and see some of these highly sophisticated tools and equipment while in use.
Our Equipment
Chief Goliath Frame Machine
I have personally used frame machines by five different manufacturers, and in my opinion this is the biggest and baddest frame machine currently available in the industry. Our Chief Goliath is 22 feet long and 92 inches wide and it’s capable of lifting up to 12,000 pounds, and with the three towers combined can achieve over 30 tons of pulling power.
Chief Multimig 522 Silicone Bronze and Aluminum Welder
This welder is changing the collision repair industry currently and provides better welds and a higher quality repair than conventional MIG welders used by most shops currently. But for the major panels and structural part replacement we use the Chief Multispot MI200T as often as possible (shown below). The MI200T is a liquid cooled resistant spot welder capable of duplicating the factory welds made when the vehicle is assembled initially by the manufacturer. It also takes the chance of technician error and eliminates the guessing game with the Elektron TRUE Automode feature, and has the ability to log the weld quality onto an SD card when needed.
All of the other welders in the shop are MIG welders, powered by 220v instead of 110v, and they are all made by Miller, which is another top of the line manufacturer. To the right is an image of our newest Millermatic 212 Auto-set MIG welder which we also have an aluminum spool gun attachment for.
Chief EZ-Liner Frame Rack
For lighter frame and upper body pulls we also have an older Chief EZ-Liner frame rack that has been completely overhauled, which we named "David." This machine has around 15 tons of pulling capacity, and we can also use our Laserlock measuring system with it.
